The Sr. Sourcing Engineer leads complex sourcing, supplier development, and material change and cost down projects with significant technical, strategic, and cross‑functional impact. The role operates with high autonomy, mentors junior engineers, and drives initiatives that strengthen global supply chain resilience, cost optimization, and manufacturing excellence.

⚪Lead high‑complexity supplier and material change projects, ensuring alignment across Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Operations, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Customers for the Electrophysiology team in Heraeus, for initiatives involving cost reduction, compliance, process improvement and business continuity. 

⚪Drive supplier innovation by integrating supplier expertise early in NPI and design‑for‑manufacturability activities. Influence design decisions through participation in advanced NPI and cross‑functional reviews. Apply advanced financial understanding to influence make‑vs‑buy and sourcing decisions. 

⚪Contribute to long‑term sourcing strategies, supplier segmentation, and dual‑sourcing initiatives. 

⚪Mentor Sourcing Engineers I/II in project execution, technical assessments, and stakeholder communication.

Required Experience:

⚪Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field. 
⚪Strong background in sourcing, supplier development, or supply chain engineering within manufacturing environments. 
⚪Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with minimal supervision 
⚪Fluent in English with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. 
⚪Strong understanding of cost modeling, supplier process controls, and advanced manufacturing technologies. 
⚪Ability to travel internationally several times per year, if required (estimated 25%). 
⚪Demonstrated experience leading people. 
⚪Valid passport and US Visa required. 

Preferred Experience:

⚪PMO certification.   
⚪Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), or equivalent continuous improvement training.
