Position Summary

The Portfolio Management Director - Delivery Systems is a strategic business leader responsible for the end-to-end ownership of the Delivery Systems product portfolio. The Portfolio Management Director drives growth, profitability, and innovation by leading strategy development, market analysis, product lifecycle management, and cross-functional execution. The Portfolio Management Director serves as the business owner of the portfolio, accountable for its commercial success from concept through end-of-life, and acts as a key interface between customers, internal stakeholders, and executive leadership.

 

This position is based out of the Fridley, MN office with travel up to 30%.

 

What You’ll Do Every Day:

  • Set the long-term vision and strategy for the portfolio, aligned with corporate objectives and market dynamics.
  • Own the portfolio’s business performance, including revenue, margin, and market share targets.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year strategic roadmap encompassing product, technology, and capability development.
  • Continuously scan the market to identify growth opportunities, including M&A, partnerships, and licensing.
  • Lead competitive analysis and customer segmentation to inform strategic decisions.
  • Build business cases for new opportunities, including financial modeling, strategic fit, and customer value proposition.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of the portfolio — from concept, development, launch, growth, maturity, and end-of-life.
  • Define and execute product pruning strategies to optimize portfolio performance.
  • Ensure alignment of product roadmap with customer needs, market trends, and internal capabilities.
  • Partner with Sales to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and channel strategy.
  • Drive commercial success through targeted growth initiatives, customer engagement, and strategic account support.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to lead promotional activities and market messaging.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (Sales, R&D, Operations, Finance, Marketing) to ensure timely and successful execution of portfolio initiatives.
  • Define and prioritize platform and project development, redirecting resources as needed to meet strategic goals.
  • Implement efficient governance processes to ensure alignment and accountability across functions.
  • Lead voice-of-customer (VOC) initiatives to define long-term customer needs and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Serve as a key customer-facing leader, building strategic relationships and representing the portfolio in executive-level discussions.
  • Provide guidance to cross-functional partners.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and results.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

 

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including experience in the medical device manufacturing industry required.
  • Demonstrated consistent growth in roles ideally in medical B2B organizations  
  • Demonstrated understanding of specified Delivery Systems market or product segment
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to perform strategic analysis, conduct strategic planning, build portfolio strategy, and to translate complex concepts into actionable plans
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships and partnerships and to influence across the organization without having direct authority
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 30%, including some international travel

 

Medevio is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. The expected hiring range for this position is between $$140,000 and $180,000 based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity. This position is bonus eligible, with a target bonus of 20%. Our total compensation package includes eligibility for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, education reimbursement, paid parental leave and paid time off.
