Position Summary
As part of the Product Development team, the primary responsibility of the Product Development Engineer will assist in conducting design and development activities throughout the lifecycle of the products, including concept generation, prototyping, 3D modeling, 2D prints creation, concept evaluation, design verification, and design validation.
This is an onsite position at our Fridley, MN location. We are open to hiring either an Engineer I or Engineer II level.
What You’ll Do Every Day:
- Assist in conducting design and development project related activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Assist in concept generation and technical problem solving based on customer interests, budgets, and market research.
- Conduct engineering analysis on designs, concepts and associated research for doing so.
- Assist in creating documentation for requirements, design output, design verification, and testing using Heraeus and/or customer’s QMS.
- Conduct theoretical testing on design models and prototypes with the use of CAD and/or analysis software.
- Assist in completing deliverables to Design History File(s) and all necessary activities in accordance with all internal and external processes, procedures, and standards (MDR, ISO, EN, etc.).
- Support production throughout the lifecycle by ensuring that products conform market specifications and safety regulations.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field required strongly preferred; other relevant postsecondary education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of the importance of inputs on design selection.
- Able to communicate basic technical concepts.
- Able to apply basic engineering principles to identify possible solutions.
- Able to make basic data driven decisions.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Able to communicate basic topics to customers with oversight.
- Begins to build cross-functional relationships to drive results.
- Willing and able to adapt to change within the organization.
- Must be willing and able to travel between White Bear Lake, MN and Fridley, MN sites, as needed.
Medevio is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. The expected hiring range for this position is between $70,000 and $90,000 based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity. This position is bonus eligible, with a target bonus of 10%. Our total compensation package includes eligibility for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, education reimbursement, paid parental leave and paid time off.
