The following challenges await you:

You will manage the wet chemistry areas of precious metal recycling in Hanau, have full responsibility for personnel, and develop your team in accordance with Heraeus supply chain principles and the Heraeus leadership model.
You will ensure that all local, international, and Heraeus internal guidelines and laws are complied with in order to guarantee the safe operation of all business units in the division.
In addition, you are responsible for informing EHS in a timely manner about planned changes and new investments, as well as for immediately reporting deviations from normal operation and occupational accidents.
You manage the areas to achieve the highest standards of efficiency and guarantee operational excellence.
You will collaborate closely with the planning, sales, and production cost centers of the entire precious metal recycling division.
You will be responsible for internal personnel and capacity planning in your area, and you will also be involved in strategic planning and decision-making with regard to facilities and investments.
In this role, you will manage the wet chemical areas of alkaline digestion and recycling as well as the wet chemical area of precious metal refining, coordinating projects and processes.
Last but not least, you will ensure the transfer of knowledge between recycling sites worldwide.

Your profile:

Successfully completed university degree in a chemical or technical field, ideally with a doctorate
Extensive experience in the disciplinary or technical management of employees
Experience as a group or project manager in the chemical sector
Experience in precious metal recycling with a focus on the wet chemical processing of spent catalysts, alloys, and precious metal-containing waste.
Very good written and spoken German and English
Good knowledge of MS Office applications and SAP
Enjoyment of working in a production-related environment, as well as an independent, goal-oriented, and structured way of working, and a high level of motivation and flexibility
