Your role and responsibilities:
- Job Summary - We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and develop our maintenance team in a high-tech manufacturing environment in Hartland, Wisconsin. This role will be responsible for building a structured, proactive maintenance program that improves equipment reliability, supports safe and efficient production, and reduces unplanned downtime. The ideal candidate is a hands-on people leader who can strengthen preventive maintenance, work-order planning, CMMS utilization, and performance tracking while partnering closely with production, engineering, and outside contractors.
- Safely and productively maintain all production equipment to ensure its consistent and optimum working order to meet production needs.
- Maintain and improve the building’s structure, facility equipment/machinery and systems.
- Manage and coordinate activities of the maintenance team and outside contractors by implementing and utilizing a structured work order system.
- Develop, implement, and manage a preventive maintenance and inventory program which will reduce machine breakdowns and downtime.
- Establish KPI metrics and use them to measure maintenance and machine performance, make informed decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Work with the engineering team and production supervisors on new and existing equipment and a variety of other capital improvement projects.
What is required for this role:
- Experience in an equivalent role.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical or related engineering discipline.
- A talented, effective leader with experience building and motivating a maintenance team and creating a structured workflow system and cross training program.
- Has successfully implemented a CMMS.
- Has established maintenance KPI metrics and used them to drive continuous improvement.
- Has managed both internal employees and external contractors.
- Has automated manufacturing experience.
- Background in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, tool and die, machining, pneumatics, electronics, gas, metal fab, welding, and hydraulics.
- Building and grounds maintenance experience.
- Experience with managing assets, capital improvements and engineering projects.
- SAP experience
