Your Role and Responsibilities
- Job Summary-As a Quality Engineering Technician, you will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing the excellence of our industrial processes, materials, and products. You'll work within our Quality Team to:
- Plan and conduct comprehensive analysis, inspection, testing, and integration to assure the highest quality of products and components.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to evaluate processes and implement changes efficiently.
- Document data rigorously, aligning with company policies and procedures.
- Innovate and develop new approaches to solve challenges identified during quality assurance activities.
- Communicate impactful issues or developments and propose process improvements.
- Prepare and present insightful technical reports and program information.
- Monitor, analyze, and strategically reduce scrap through process improvements.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check and be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
What is required for this role:
- A 2-year technical school degree in a STEM or related field, or a military equivalent.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing environment including:
- Independent problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making experience.
- Root cause analysis and corrective action with experience independently driving investigations and dispositioning processes of nonconforming product.
- Experience responding directly to customer complaints.
- Driving scrap reduction projects in manufacturing processes.
- A solid mechanical aptitude and capability in basic statistical techniques and Statistical Process Control.
- Proven experience with engineering drawings, blueprints interpretation, and Quality Management Systems in an ISO9001/17025 environment.
- Competence in an ERP computer environment, preferably SAP.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in other Microsoft applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with integrity and professionalism.
- The ability to lift, push, pull 50 lbs. regularly and work in hot and cold environments (around molten metal).
