We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and process-driven Precious Metals Controller to oversee the tracking, reporting, and management of precious metals across our recycling and product operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring material transparency, operational efficiency, and data integrity across key business lines, particularly within our chemical production and recycling segments.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

 

Business Line Performance Monitoring

  • Track, analyze, and report on business line performance related to precious metals usage, recovery, and recycling.
  • Provide clear visibility into material flows, enabling production leadership to make informed decisions.
  • Deliver actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and financial outcomes.

 

Tracking & Analysis

  • Monitor precious metals volumes within a chemical production environment, ensuring precise and accurate tracking.
  • Conduct complex data analysis to enhance data quality, integrity, and usability within ERP systems (SAP).
  • Identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement in material control processes.

 

Dashboard Development & Reporting

  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance dashboards that provide real-time visibility into precious metals flows, inventory levels, and recovery rates.
  • Partner with IT and data teams to ensure reporting tools are accurate, scalable, and user-friendly.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for management.

 

Inventory Management & Reporting

  • Oversee inventory levels, backlogs, and reconciliation of precious metals across production, logistics, and warehouse operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of inventory movements and balances.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, respond to inquiries, and support business-critical decisions.

 

Process Optimization & Compliance

  • Identify and implement improvements to material tracking systems and controlling processes.
  • Proactively manage and refine reporting systems to support local management and operational excellence.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards related to precious metals handling.

 

 

Qualifications Required

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in controlling, finance, or a related analytical role
  • Strong experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and complex processes
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

 

Preferred

  • Experience in chemical manufacturing, refining, or recycling industries
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

 

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation.
  • Frequent use of computers, keyboards, monitors, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to read and analyze detailed financial reports, inventory records, and operational data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and movement throughout office, warehouse, laboratory, and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to conduct physical inventory observations and audits within plant or production areas.
  • May be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe footwear, or other required safety gear while in operational areas.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move materials or office items up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities may include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Work Environment

  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment with periodic exposure to manufacturing, recycling, refinery, or warehouse operations.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels and industrial equipment may occur during plant visits.
