Position Summary
The Production Planner I is responsible for the planning, production scheduling, and inventory levels of assigned production area to achieve the highest service levels to the customer (internal & external) with the lowest inventory cost. The Production Planner I will build and maintain strong internal & external supplier relationships to achieve continuous improvements in delivery, quality and cost.
What You’ll Do Every Day:
- Develop, and maintain production, quality, and shipping schedules that are driven through current business system and ensure new product development jobs are scheduled, to achieve target dates, without compromising customer deliveries.
- Manage and maintain stores to ensure on-time material delivery under pull systems, fostering trust by partnering with materials teams and buyers to reduce lead times and minimum order quantities.
- Confirm the ability to fulfill customer requests, including initial orders and change requests.
- Release and distribute production work orders to support the agreed upon production build plan.
- Monitor and suggest adjustments in production schedule based on changes in:
- Material availability
- Employee work hour change, such as PTO
- Machine down time
- Results of prior days production that deviated from the expected/required
- Review SAP for MRP (MD04) and react to listed action messages.
- Lead and participate in daily scheduler meetings to review interplant support, coordinate with second/third/weekend shift supervisors on production plans, and address areas requiring additional review or confirmation.
- Interact with Medevio Customer Service groups to provide
- Order confirmations
- Order changes affecting our original commitment to a customer
- Firm plan production orders to best support the expected/required customer demand
- Interact with Medevio Purchasing to
- Determine material requirements
- Determine material availability date
- Determine actions/expectations for rejected material
- Interact with Heraeus Engineering to
- Confirm SAP master data information
- Confirm development order status and requirements
- React as required to ECN
- Generate reports as required/requested.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field required.
- APICS Certification desired.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing in a highly regulated environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Medevio is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. The expected hiring range for this position is between $67,000 and $77,000 based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity. This position is bonus eligible, with a target bonus of 10%. Our total compensation package includes eligibility for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, education reimbursement, paid parental leave and paid time off.
