Job Summary: The primary responsibility of this position will be to take ownership of procurement, supplier coordination, and contract manufacturing topics for selected US-specific products and services. The role will work closely with local leadership and global Supply Chain stakeholders.

The following challenges await you:

  • Own supplier operations for assigned products, materials, and services, ensuring reliable supply and effective issue resolution.
  • Coordinate key procurement and material processes, including purchasing requirements, goods receipt, invoice clarification, inventory oversight, and deviation handling.
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance, commercial terms, escalations, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Lead supplier onboarding, qualification, and development in line with internal, regulatory, and Quality Management System requirements.
  • Support the evaluation, selection, onboarding, and integration of external manufacturing partners and critical suppliers.
  • Drive supply chain resilience initiatives, including supplier risk mitigation, second-source activities, process improvements, and supply continuity measures.
  • Act as senior interface between local and global stakeholders across Procurement, Quality, Operations, Regulatory, Planning, and Logistics.
  • Provide clear visibility on risks, bottlenecks, mitigation actions, and decision needs.
  • Support Quality and other relevant functions in supplier-related deviations, investigations, and corrective actions, while ensuring supplier follow-up and operational implementation.
  • Support the forecasting process by coordinating demand inputs, supplier capacity, and production requirements with local and global stakeholders.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field; master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 2 – 4 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain management, supplier management, external manufacturing, or contract manufacturing operations.
  • Strong experience in a regulated environment, ideally medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Proven ability to manage Contract Manufacturing Organizations or external manufacturing partners.
  • Solid understanding of purchasing processes, supplier qualification, inventory management, MRP planning, goods receipt, and invoice verification.
  • Experience in supplier onboarding, supplier development, performance management, and commercial negotiations.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, ideally including supplier transitions, second-source qualification, process insourcing, or supply continuity initiatives. Familiarity with QMS requirements, internal controls, regulated supplier processes, and cross-functional quality requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to align local and global functions across different time zones.
  • Ability to work independently, structure ambiguous topics, drive decisions, and escalate risks appropriately. Senior communication style, business acumen, and strong ownership mindset.
